Review Demanded!
This app (paid version) starts bugging the user for a review after only one or two translations. Since everyone else has griped about it, Ill just agree that its WAY too early to know the pros and cons.
All in all, it seems pretty good- but Ill know more after trying it in Europe. I like that it has some offline function- many others dont. The voice translation, if accurate enough, should prove to be a godsend when traveling.
However, my biggest complaint is that EVERY spoken phrase requires 2 finger taps: one to choose the icon for the language youll use to speak, then a second to choose voice input (a microphone button). Its a bit of a pain.
It would be so much easier to simply choose voice or text mode via an onscreen "switch " that you could quickly flip back and forth.
Was that enough to keep me from recommending this app? -No, not yet, anyhow. But it would behoove the developers to fix this annoyance. Otherwise, this app seems to offer a lot, so far.
